Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of dextercklam.com and any consultation or coaching you book with Letter for Better, operated by Dexter Lam (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using this site or booking a session, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or book.

The services we provide

We offer one-to-one consultations and coaching focused on personal development, in particular helping people work through overthinking and decision-making patterns. Our work is educational and developmental in nature.

Our services are not therapy, counselling, psychiatric, medical, financial, or legal advice, and they do not diagnose or treat any condition. They are not a substitute for care from a qualified professional. If you are in crisis or need medical or mental health support, please contact a qualified provider or your local emergency services.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 to use this site. Coaching and consultations are available to people over 21 only. By booking, you confirm you meet the relevant age requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

Booking and scheduling

Sessions are scheduled through Google Calendar. When you book, a specific time is reserved for you. Please provide an email address and phone number you check, as we use these to confirm and, if needed, reach you about your session.

Fees and payment

• The Consultation is a one-time 60-minute session priced at $250 USD.
• True Signal is a 6-week program priced at $2,500 USD.
• If you continue from a Consultation to True Signal within 30 days, the Consultation fee is credited toward the program.
• Consultation payments are processed securely by Stripe at the time of booking. Prices are in US dollars and exclude any taxes that may apply.

Rescheduling, cancellations, and refunds

The following is our standard policy:

• Consultation: to reschedule or cancel, please give at least 24 hours notice by email. With less than 24 hours notice, or for a no-show, the fee may not be refunded. Once the session has taken place, the consultation fee is non-refundable.
• True Signal: a match call is required before joining. If you cancel before the program begins, you may request a refund of fees paid. Once the program has begun, fees are non-refundable, given the time and capacity reserved for you.
• If we ever need to cancel or reschedule on our side, you may choose a new time or, where applicable, a refund.

Your responsibilities

Coaching works best when you engage openly and honestly. You remain responsible for your own choices, decisions, and actions, and for any results that follow. Nothing we discuss obliges you to take any particular action.

No guarantee of outcomes

Personal development depends on many factors, including your own engagement and circumstances. We do not promise or guarantee any specific result from a consultation or the program.

Confidentiality

We treat what you share in sessions as confidential and will not disclose it except with your permission, where necessary to provide the service, or where required by law or to protect someone's safety.

Intellectual property

All content on this site and within our programs, including written material, frameworks, and methods, belongs to us and is protected by law. You may use it for your own personal purposes but may not copy, distribute, or resell it without our written permission.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of this site or our services, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Indemnity

You agree to be responsible for any claims arising from your misuse of the site or breach of these Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and any disputes will be subject to the courts of that jurisdiction.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they were last revised, and continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
